October was the month of festivals, with events at Henley, Amersham and Ealing, and a visit to Brentwood thrown in for good measure.

With having a big squad of 37, we have spread the opportunities around and entered two teams in each festival, with mixed results. While all the players put in enormous effort a couple of teams struggled against good quality opposition. Having said that there was some great success with one team coming away from Amersham with a fair play certificate.

The coaching team have found it difficult maintaining continuity with the squad split across the festivals, added to which they have been attending coaching courses.

Congratulations to John Folan and Rob Hobson for achieving their UKCC Level I coaching certificates – that gives us three qualified coaches on the team!

We are now looking forward to the upcoming festivals at Allianz Park – the U7/8 Work Rate & Honesty Festival, on 12th November and the U7/8 Discipline & Humility Festival, on 10th December.
