Under 8 Game Rules

Those that have played the Under 7s game will need to be aware of some differences this season.

Bigger Pitch and Longer Games mean fitness and stamina will start to become more important.
Teams of 8 (6 plus 2 subs) means team work and understanding of space and field position become key.
Possession Switches after 7th Tag, so forward movement with the ball is essential. Also, evasion and passing before being tagged will also be important.
Knock ons and Forward Passes will be penalised, as will simply handing the ball to a team mate, therefore throwing and catching skills will be a focus for development.

Some of our players will also be delighted to hear that this year they won't be penalised for going to ground when they score a try!
