About the ClubThis website is the new main forum for all sections of the Saracens Amateur Rugby Club - Minis, Juniors, Girls, Colts, Women and Men. We are a fast-growing and successful club, rebuilding senior amateur community rugby here following our senior men's club turning professional in 1996. The two clubs - professional and amateur - share a common desire to make the Saracens brand of rugby recognised and admired around the globe. A full history of the club from its foundation in 1876 can be found in the Club Information pages on this website. An account of the growth of senior men's amateur rugby at Saracens is contained in the Players Handbook, available to players after joining the club. The senior women celebtated their 20th anniversary season in 2009-10.
We welcome new players from across the UK and around the world. New players integrate quickly and successfully with our strong core of players moving up from our excellent junior rugby section, plus those returning to the club after university or college. In 2010-11 we will be providing Mini, Junior, Girls, Colts and Senior Men's & Women's rugby at Saracens. Training takes place most days or evenings of the week - please consult the individual sections on this website for fuller details. New players are welcome at training sessions. We hope that you will enjoy your time at Saracens and make a real contribution to the life of the club both on and off the field. |
