Katharine Evans

Biography: Katharine started playing rugby at the age of 13 at Rickmansworth School along with team mates Cathy Freeman, Becky Roby, Hannah Casey and England star Michaella Staniford. From then she joined her local club Fullerians which her school teacher Lee Parkin ran, at the age of 17 she was looking for bigger and better challenges and went along to play for saracens 2nd team.
Katharine went on to study BA(Hons) Sports Development with PE at Liverpool John Moores University where she then went on to complete a PGCE in PE and has recently completed her Master degree in Advanced Educational Practice. Whilst at university Katharine played for Vale of Lune RFC and represented England Development vs Combined services in 2009.
Katharine is currently a PE teacher at Winchmore school in North London, in her spare time she also enjoys rugby 7's and competes regularly in swimming. Her most memorable rugby moment is winning the National School 7's Tournament and she looks forward to being able to play at Allianz Park. Her favourite food is "sweets"
