Saturday 10 September was a great day at Bramley Road, packed with activity and entertainment. It started with the Players breakfast, provided by Luan Vreko which was followed by the VP's lunch hosted by Peter Haigh. It was great to see so many illustrious former players back at the club.
It was then down to business with newly promoted Saracens taking on Royston and the Crusaders hosting Weston.
Saracens made a nervous start and fell behind to Royston and trailed 0 - 25 at halftime. The second half was a different story with Saracens a tuning to the game, they regained their composure and confidence. Finally losing 5 - 25. The Crusaders had a close game against newly promoted Weston, narrowly winning 21 - 19.
Following the post match meals and player of the match awards the entertainment continued with music from two local bands from Barnet, Front Rumours opened the show followed by the excellent King Bomba, both bands obviously destined for greater things ahead.
We would like to thank all those that made the day such a success. Ian Sloan and Nick Linsky for preparation of the pitches
